There’s no ‘gelt’ when it comes to the eight day celebration of Chanukah! The old adage ‘A minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips’, is the last thing on anyones mind as we are commanded to fill our bellies with dishes and desserts that are made from, swimming in, fried in, marinated in; oil! Olive oil is the hero of this chag and this week we have designed the perfect Chanukah menu that will ensure you are free to light the menorah and dance the horah with family and friends without being tied to the kitchen stove. Always buy the best olive oil you can and don’t use sparingly! No meal is complete during Chanukah without latkes, pair them with this brussels sprout salad and some sensuous slow roasted salmon with harissa and your guests will be licking their plates. The Shepardi levivot recipe makes a welcome change to the usual jam filled sufganiyot and the lemon olive oil cake will blow your mind! Simple, sumptuous and super outrageously delicious!.
