Food to party to..

New Orleans

Adi’s Table

This week we travel to the unrivalled party town; New Orleans. The home of the famous Mardi Gras festival, beignets and daiquiris, the city is alive with music and heaving with bodies dancing, drinking and eating the night away. Whilst the Jewish population is relatively small in numbers, there is no shortage of kosher restaurants and ‘New York style’ delis spread throughout the city. Street food has long been a part of New Orleans food culture. From traditional gumbo steeped with Cajun influences and po’ boys oozing with saucey yumminess, to newer Vietnamese-Creole fusion dishes that reflect the current diversity of “Nawlins”, there’s much to choose from in this foodie paradise. No night on the town would be complete without an infamous “Hurricane’ cocktail! Be careful with this delicious rum cocktail, two of these can leave you feeling like a ‘soc au’ lait’ the next morning!!
